Drawing on and developing your critical and reflective capacity in exploring and understanding the multi-layered process of your own dynamics in relation to that of your client(s) in the context of the therapeutic medium and the sociodynamic field in which it is located

My major training is in Psychodynamic and Person-Centred counselling. Within these models I use a collaborative dialogue approach based on discursive exploration using Email, Instant Messaging and Webcam.

I have worked as an online supervisor since 2002, working with individual supervisees in a variety of settings including asynchronous email and live sessions using text, audio and webcam. (I have been a face to face supervisor since 1997 working with both individuals and groups.)

I work both by email exchange and in real time with supervisees. Although my own counselling approach is humanistic, I see supervision as a different discipline and work with counsellors using a variety of approaches. Establishing a good working relationship is the key to effective supervision.
